A sunny day and one that I wanted to go for a drive in. My sweetheart and our fur child decided on a favorite drive out to Point Holmes. Along the drive we turned a corner and there in a field were about a dozen deer. The field actually being the yard of a home in the center of our small community. We were pretty pleased with this gift. Some young bucks amongst this group with soft furry looking antlers were peacefully nibbling away in the crisp sunny day. The next house along the drive had another large group of deer. There was something inspiring to me in thinking about our long and fairly harsh winter and how they had survived together. Now here were this many deer out enjoying the thin warmth of the sun.
